Foundations For Living - What Will You Gain?

Coaching helps people to reconnect with who they are and what they want, and to achieve their goals. It is about living your best life, the life that reflects who you really are in line with the values and beliefs that are important to you. A sports coach helps athletes to improve their physical performance. Life Coaching can help you to achieve your dreams.

How does Life Coaching work?

You are given time and personal attention. Time is precious and you can’t afford to waste a moment, so personal attention is the best way to get started.

A coach can work with you by telephone or face to face. Initial conversations can explore any matters that are of concern to you: your career, finances, health, spiritual growth, relationships with your loved ones or with people at work, or any other subject which affects your life. This helps you to focus on the areas you would like to transform and enables the Coach to suggest strategies and processes that will help you to move forward.

What value does the Life Coach bring to a client?

Coaching focuses on the present and on what you need to do in order to create the future that you want.

The immediate value is in helping you see your “blind spots”. Feedback from the Coach helps you to recognise recurring themes and patterns in your life so that you can consider new choices. In particular the guided discussions can help you to examine issues that worry you and that you might normally prefer to ignore or avoid, but which might be blocking progress. Your Coach helps you to recognise and celebrate the positive and to overcome problems. Your Coach is on your side at all times and stands for you being all that you can be. The process enables you to clarify your values, your mission in life and your gifts, to reassess your life, redefine success, set new goals, overcome challenges, change lifelong habits, create better balance in your life and build confidence. You will find more time for yourself, reduce stress and gain new energy.

How is this different from chatting to a friend?

Coaching is very different. A Coach focuses on your needs and introduces a wide range of methods to uncover and resolve complicated issues. In contrast your friends or loved ones may not know any of the techniques, and may let their own agenda and opinions get in the way.

A Coach facilitates the process by asking provocative questions, offering honest feedback and inspiring you with new ideas, concepts and strategies. A Coach offers a supportive environment by championing you when things are moving forward and respecting you if you get stuck.

With a Coach there is no need to pretend. You are accepted for exactly who you are.
